Bruce Mackay, shown at the left presenting Bibles to players at one of their chapels,
is a Christian businessman from Belleville who owns his own insurance brokerage
firm. In 2003, he became affiliated with Hockey Ministries International (HMI) and is
currently the co-chaplain with the Belleville Bulls Hockey Club. HMI started with one league in 1977 and now has over 20 leagues in 25 different countries. Bruce will share about HMI and its ministries through camps and chapels throughout the hockey world. He will share about serving God in areas of your life that you are passionate about – showing God’s love and being a light in a dark world. Bruce will give a brief background on who the HMI is, what they do and how he became involved with the organization. He will include stories of how God has opened doors and is working. Since he has been involved with the team, it is so encouraging to see the youth who were spiritually closed off, allow themselves to be open to talk about spiritual things and then graduate on to ECHL, AHL and NHL where they go on to become involved with Chapels there. Come hear how his God changed his life through a song!
